Commissioner Regalado with Martha Wander Host a 72 Hour Emergency Food Supply Event At Smathers Senior Center
 
On March 14, 2006 a check for the amount $75,000.00 from Publix was issued to Farm Share.
 
On April 8, 2006 Commissioner Joe Martinez in conjunction with Farm Share provided 42,000.00 lbs of food to 1,000 people at Bent Tree Park in Miami, Florida, which included pudding, malangas onions, milk, cheddar soup, milk, red pepper soup, lentil soup, and snapples juices.

Over 2 million hungry families in Florida receive food from Farm Share each year.
