Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association Convention 2016
Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association(FFVA) held its 73rd annual convention this week at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida. Farm Share was very proud to serve as a sponsor for this years convention. FFVA offered an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers and respected industry experts that gave their perspective on some of the most pressing issues Florida farmers and growers are dealing with today. The FFVA was established in 1943 and supports growers and shippers working in the agricultural industry in Florida. The FFVA provides support to its members through access to expertise, and events like this one.
A lot was packed into the three day schedule with just the right mix of information, networking, and socializing. Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam discussed his “state of the industry” update to kick off the convention. The Key Note speaker for the 73rd annual convention was Mike Allen, a Founder of Politico and former TIME magazine Chief White House Correspondent.Allen offered his non-partisan, energetic, and up-to-the-minute insider perspective on the presidential election and the political issues of today
