WHO WE ARE
Rooted in Florida. Committed to Ending Hunger
Farm Share is Florida’s largest independent food bank, ranked as America’s #1 hunger relief organization by 24/7 Wall Street in 2022. Born, built, and rooted in Florida, we exist to serve families wherever the need is greatest. We are a Florida food bank for Floridians.

Since 1991, we have pioneered a food rescue model that recovers fresh, nutritious food and delivers it directly to communities from Pensacola to Key West. With seven strategically located warehouses and a robust statewide network, we are able to respond quickly, operate efficiently, and scale our impact, especially during emergencies. We never charge the agencies we support, ensuring every resource goes toward feeding families.
This mission is powered by farmers, businesses, volunteers, and partners who believe no fresh food should go to waste and no Florida family should go hungry from those in need, working families stretching a paycheck to seniors on fixed incomes, we believe every Florida family deserves access to nutritious food.

Our

To ensure Florida families have access to fresh, nutritious food by rescuing what would otherwise go to waste and delivering it with dignity to those who need it most.

Our Founder

Patricia Robbins
Founder of Farm Share
Farm Share was started in 1991 in Homestead by Patricia Robbins. She saw perfectly good food being wasted, either because it never made it to supermarkets or because it was surplus. By partnering with farmers and local communities, Patricia began rescuing this food and getting it to those who need it most, building Farm Share into the state’s largest independent food bank.
