On behalf of Farm Share, its staff, board of directors, its network of partner agencies and the millions of food insecure Floridians we serve annually, we would like to thank the Florida legislature for their continued support of Farm Share’s mission. As a result of the current near record setting inflation for food, rent, gas and household staples, hardworking families are struggling to survive and put food on their tables. The Legislatures continued investment in Farm Share this year will ensure that we have the resources necessary to provide life sustaining food to these families, children, seniors and individuals in need throughout Florida.
Farm Share, as Florida’s largest intendent food bank, will continue to be a leader in feeding hungry families, children, seniors and individuals in need in 2022. With eight regional warehouses and a fleet of refrigerated semi-trucks and box trucks, Farm Share distributed more than 118 million pounds of food last fiscal year and more than 135 million pounds during the first year of the COVID pandemic. Our partnership with the Florida Legislature has enabled us to feed millions of people during their toughest times & we hope to continue our work and service together.
