Does the app keep track of my information?
No. Your personal information stays secure in your phone. All personal information is kept private and confidential. Personal information is only utilized as required by the USDA to receive federal food products and Farm Share to improve its services.
Do I have to watch or select any advertisement?
Advertisement pop ups can be closed; you don’t have to look at the full advertisement.
I am the proxy for another recipient, does the recipient need to attend the distribution to receive food?
For proxies, the person you are picking up for can send you a copy of his/her QR code to be scanned at pick up.
Do I have to fill a new application every time I need food?
After the initial sign up of information you do not have to repeat the signup process. All you have to do is create a new QR Code in the app.
How long is my QR Code valid for?
QR codes can be only used one time for 24 hrs. The next day you will have to create a new QR code by selecting ‘Create a QR Code’ in the app.
Can I use my QR Code somewhere else?
With your QR code you can pick-up at any of our partner agencies.
Do I have to pay for the use of the app?
No. There's no money involved in the app service.
Do I need the app to pick-up food?
Yes, but our partner agency will help you if you are having problems downloading the app. No one will be turned down to receive food.
If there is no internet connection at the distribution site, will I still be able to receive food?
If you know there is no internet service at the distribution site, create your QR code at home or wherever you can access the internet in advance (on the day of the distribution), take a screenshot of the QR code and show it at the distribution site.
Can volunteers download the app?
They can register to receive food as every other participant, but they can only get their food after the distribution has ended and the recipients are gone.
