"Farm Share Breaks Into Color" mural by ESKAE. Sponsored by MOLINA HEALTHCARE
ESKAE, who used his “Wild Style” font to bring the words “Farm Share” from black and white into color, displayed along a staircase going up the outside of Farm Share’s Homestead warehouse. The shift from darkness to color and light symbolizes the life, hope, and love that Farm Share’s free food provides to Floridians who need it most.
ESKAE used this font after being inspired by the commercial spot that played during the Olympic Games this past summer. Farm Shares commercial “Bringing Colors” displays a dark world that is transformed into a world full of color and life by the donation box at a Farm Share food distribution. Food brings life, hope and love all at the same time. ESKAE was inspired by this concept of food being able to transform life from dark moments to moments of life and hope. In order to hit the message, he started the lettering in a dark grayscale and the mural literally breaks into color half way through. The use of pinks and purples gives a strong introduction of color and beauty from the dark color scale.

In order to show some love to the Florida farmers, ESKAE decided to free hand two sets of fruits and vegetables on each side. The last letter has a huge bright arrow pointing towards the fruits and vegetables to emphasize what element caused the color change. The mural is a true art piece dropped by one of Florida’s most prolific graffiti artists. It was truly historic to have ESKAE drop this piece at the Farm Share warehouse here in Homestead.
"Farm Share Breaks Into Color" was sponsored by Molina Healthcare and was part of the True Grit Mural Project in Homestead, Miami. Weeks before Miami Art Week / Miami Art Basel 2021, the True Grit Mural Project brought talent together to fight hunger through art!

“Molina shares Farm Share’s mission to address food insecurity and distribute fresh and nutritious food to Floridians in need,” said Mike Jones, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Florida. “This mural is a great representation of our continuing eight-year commitment to Farm Share.”
